Should you be a Jerk?

I was thinking. You should.
Be a Jerk...because that's what a friend would do...

The key to a good relationship is love and communication, and according to Dr Chapman, eventually most relationships need to work on showing love correctly for their relationship. This is the secret... but what about short relationships and new ones, is there more to it?

I studied Dr Chapman's work on relationships, and I saw a simple opportunity to be super popular. Show you care and you will be liked, was my interpretation.

How did I go about doing this?

By showing caring, trying to become a really Nice Guy, but it was unnatural, nevertheless it seemed to work... or did it? No it didn’t...

According to Answer.com being a nice guy leads to relational difficulty and yes if they say it, it is true. It doesn't produce strong healthy connections. When I looked back, I realised it wasn't my niceness, which cemented relationships, but it was my excessive honesty, teasing and generally offensive behaviours.

Think about it, imagine it ... have you ever tried going up to someone you like and saying 'you look good today'? It might get a blush or weird response whereas.... the 60s called. They want their shirt back...or love the shoes. They're very manly... may get the same response, but you might also have someone who wants to hang out with you a lot more...

Success, in my opinion, and experience comes from another kind of caring. Could we call it Jerk love?
What is that?

Well, it’s mocking...

Listening, but answering questions with jokes and teasing, then leave before they can say good-bye..
Instead of just saying 'your beautiful', add ' like a tree.'

In contrast to saying your 'the most beautiful women on the street' say '..well in the top three depending on the street' (FOTC)

Because people want what they don't have... being a little arrogant, mean and generally, someone who is indifferent, makes you a more attractive candidate.

So maybe next time you give a card mock your friends with it, have a picnic with the most beautiful persons in the room, ask for eggs, come late, text often, leave early and tease the person like it's going out of fashion... because being a jerk is being a friend...
